Well its been quite a while since there has been any news regarding the album, and a lot has happened since the last update. We have retrieved all of the original tracks from Nick who we recorded with in February and will continue work on the album with our good friend Chris from the recently disbanded Evangelist. After listening to the mixes we have decided that the guitars need to be rerecorded, and will be doing so with help from our friend Moe. Chris has taken over as the albums producer and has laid out a timeline of when things are going to get done. The way things are looking, the album WILL be down in time for Pagan Fest III on Sunday April 15th 2012. Worst comes to worst, we will only have burned copies of it for sale there, but the album will be done.
In regards to upcoming shows, we will be playing at El Corazon on Thursday February 16th 2012 ($12 advanced, $15 day of show) with Shaded Enmity, Sacrament ov Impurity, Royalty in Ruins, and Deathbeat. We are also scheduled to play at The 2 Bit Saloon on Monday April 9th 2012 for Sacrament ov Impurity and Blood Etchings tour kick off. Also playing that night are Sacrificial Slaughter (CA), Blessed Curse (CA), Gutsaw (CA), and Sarcalogos (OR). Unlike most Metal Monday’s this show will start at 7 pm and cost $ 8 we are going on first so if you want to catch us get there early.
Now, here is something really cool that we discovered last night. A fan from Oregon who saw us play in earlier last month threw a video of him covering Norloxius The Blood Smoker up on youtube. We are really flattered and stoked by this and thought we would share the video with you. Enjoy and see you soon.
So we’re in redwood city at a starbucks right now, stealing their internet and exploiting their bathroom facilities, and thought that we should give a quick tour update. Day one in Eugene Oregon turned out to be an awesome show. Lots of people, and lots of crazy antics. The Eureka show was fucking awesome though, made a lot of new friends and we’re treated to the finest of the “local delicacies”. Then we headed back north to hang out with our good buddies in Aptera in Grants Pass Oregon for four days. Big shout out to Jessie their singer for letting us commandeer his living room furniture for almost a week. After those antic (a couple of which can be seen here www.youtube.com/phalgeron) we headed south once again to play in San Francisco. The show was alright, thanks to Joel for putting it together. we must give a huge shout to to our new found brothers in Short Fuse for letting us crash at their jam space. Now we’re wasting time till we have to head back north to Concord to slay beside Short Fuse once again, and our other brothers Eviscerate. The shows going to be at the Red Hat, 21+ (sadly) and starts at nine, so if you”re in the east bay area, get your asses to Concord and lets party!
Ok, so here’s where the album stands. Its fully tracked, and Nick is in North Dakota right now mixing it. When he gets back we are going to Record the vocals for Feeding the Phlegethon then he’ll mix that then the album will be mastered and ready to press.
We are also going on tour, The first date is in Eugene OR on Friday September 30th. We’ll be posting all the dates as the tour grows closer. We’ll be heading down to Los Angeles and then back up north.
Also the cover is nearly completed, just waiting for our artist to modify the title of the album then we shall post the finished cover here.
Now I know what EVERYONE is thinking. WHEN THE FUCK IS THE ALBUM COMING OUT!?! WE’VE ONLY BEEN WAITING SINCE FEBRUARY!!! Well, we in Phalgeron are sorry to have pulled a Wintersun on everyone but now I want everyone to know, IT IS SOOOOO CLOSE TO BEING DONE!!!
Last night we finished laying down the vocal tracks on Interdimentional Ascention, which was one of the hardest songs to do vocally. What that means is that there are only a few guitar solos to record in Gods of the Godless and the vocals in Feeding the Phlegethon and the album is ready to Mix, Master, and Press. Now I’m not going to make any promises as to when exactly it will be out, becuase We have been wrong so many times before, but i’ll tell you that the hour draws nigh. Eventually it’ll be out, and it will be AWESOME!!! so hang on with us for a little while longer and thou shall be rewarded with eargasms.
